In contrast to the morning’s drive, the journey to Phil’s parents’ place was through near torrential rain, and yet with the swish of the windscreen wipers peace fell over Chris.

He dashed into the house after parking as close as he could to the front door. The doormats were wet, but he wiped his feet and shook droplets from his hair before following friends to the living room. Phil must have phoned ahead because coffee was already available as well as snacks. Chris accepted coffee and, drawn by the patter of rain on the terrace, he went to drink it by the wide French doors. The pounding rain reduced and a weak sun tried to illuminate the remaining light shower. It reminded Chris of the evening he’d met Owen.

Without much thought, Chris left his empty coffee cup on a nearby table and slipped out of the doors onto the terrace. He was on his way along the treed walkway before he acknowledged that he was going to look for Owen one last time. If Owen were anywhere, he’d be in the smaller living room. Maybe he simply can’t handle crowds.

The fairy lights perpetually lit and twining through the branches, seemed to show him the way to the fork in the path, and this time, when he took the one most familiar, it led to the building lined with windows and culminating in the French doors adorned with silvery lights shooting sparkling spears into the fine rain.

Chris sped up his pace across the grass to the open windows. His heart hammered as he reached the threshold and stopped. Owen lay asleep on the couch, the blue velvet cushion he’d danced with hugged close. At first, Chris hesitated and then he crept toward Owen, just to see his face, just to be near him…

Owen opened his eyes. The blue gaze filled with pleasure. “Chris, I’d given up on seeing you again. This is so great. I dreamed about you. I held your hand and…” He pushed the cushion away and sat up with a delighted smile.

An overwhelming emotion surged through Chris. He dropped to his knees and held Owen’s face. “I’ve been looking for you … looked for you at every event.” He kissed Owen and nothing else mattered. He lost himself in the feel of Owen’s lips on his, and the way Owen murmured soft sounds between kisses. The delicious feeling of belonging filled his heart again.

Owen broke the deluge of kisses from Chris with a smile. He rested his forehead on Chris’s. His words sighed along Chris’s mouth. “I’m so happy to see you.”

Chris snatched another quick kiss before he spoke. “Why haven’t you attended any of the wedding festivities?”

Owen drew a little away to gaze into his eyes. “I didn’t feel well. I’m sorry.”

Concern rose in Chris. “No need to be sorry. I hope you’re feeling better.”

“I am now you’re here. Let’s walk. I’ll show you the maze, and we can talk.”

Chris stood and stepped away.

Owen stood, too. He wore exactly the same clothes as the evening they’d first met. The dress shirt, the necktie fluttering around his collar, and again he was barefoot.

Puzzled but accepting, Chris gave Owen a gentle smile. “It’s raining. You might need your shoes.”

Falling Star Valentine #gayromance #MMromance with a twist #valentines story from @evernightpub and E. D. Parr

“When we get to my apartment, you’re telling me exactly who you are and what’s going on, or, even though you make me smile, and my heart wants you, I can’t be leaping into another relationship when I’ve only just gotten over Jack. I discovered too late he wasn’t exactly the man I thought originally.”

A smile formed on Valentine’s face as Dale spoke. His eyes filled with a loving expression. He nodded as he answered. “I will. Your heart wants me. That makes me so happy.”

Dale looked away. He smiled to himself as he stared out of the car window. Rain splattered against the glass. The cab slowed in traffic on the main street and brought into Dale’s line of vision shop windows full of hearts and Valentine’s Day gift ideas. They crawled past a candy shop with a huge red neon heart in the window. Light pulsed through the fat shape at intervals, as if beating. Is it coincidence that I meet a gorgeous but eccentric guy on Valentine’s Day, or weird? Yeah, it’s weird.

The man’s pants stretched over his hard ass and a sigh of appreciation escaped Nick. #bestseller #MMromance #holidayromance #gayromance sizzle from E. D. Parr @parr_books and @evernightpub Nick meets Dylan

It’s the day before Christmas Eve and gorgeous, happy, Nick Kringle is making deliveries on the main street of the city when a car breaks down at the intersection.

Amid the seasonal crowds and inclement weather, Dylan West gets out of his car and tries to push it to the side of the road.

Nick rushes to help him and comes face to face with the most delicious man he’s ever seen.

Dylan’s down on his luck, but Nick believes in magic.

Can wishes come true? You bet—especially if Nick Kringle has anything to do with it.

Dylan’s gaze fell on the card pulled halfway out of the scarlet-colored envelope that lay on the counter top. His mom always sent him a card and she always alluded to his single status. He succumbed to a twinge of sadness. It had been a long time since there’d been a man in his life. Sometimes in the long nights, when he lay awake, Dylan would wonder why he’d never met someone who loved him—who fell in love with him. If he had a Christmas wish, it would be to meet a kind, sexy man. He gazed out of the kitchen window at the leaden sky. He’d never had a wish come true, so it was unlikely that one would. Dylan poured coffee. The warmth from the cup and the delicious smell comforted him.

Chapter Two

The city street glistened with rivers of red, green, bright pink, and white light thrown there by the stores and cafés decked out for the holiday season. Rain fell in drifting sheets as a chill wind ravaged the shoppers rushing from one place to another, some laden with parcels, others hunched against the weather in their winter coats.

Nick parked his SUV in the first available space, opened the trunk with the interior lever, and leaped out. He didn’t feel the cold unless snow lay knee deep on the ground and even then, he enjoyed the beauty, and the way a new white fall would change the light, way too much to complain about the chill.

As he ran around to the back of his vehicle, the squeal of tires braking hard and the clamor of honking horns made him spin around. In the junction behind him, standing motionless, was a stalled car. Other drivers surged around the stationary vehicle, making everything worse by taking space in the oncoming lanes so that everyone crammed dangerously together.

The driver of the offending vehicle edged out of his open car door, narrowly missed by a small car that chanced overtaking just as the lights turned red.

Nick cast a keen gaze over the man, registering his muscled body beneath an inexpensive suit and his thick dark hair, pushed back from his forehead so that the front spiked up. Nick watched the man lean into the open driver’s side door and attempt to shove the heavy vehicle to the side of the road. The man’s pants stretched over his hard ass and a sigh of appreciation escaped Nick. With one hand on the wheel, and the other lodged in the gap between open door and car, the man clearly needed help. Nick clicked the trunk of his SUV closed and jogged over to help.

“Hi, I’ll lend a hand,” he called to the stranded driver. The man straightened to answer and Nick was face to face with one of the most gorgeous men he’d ever seen. Nick never hid his emotions. They shone from his ice-blue eyes and exuded from his well-toned body. He smiled at the man in a way he knew and didn’t care broadcast attraction, desire—pure sex.

Apparently unaffected by Nick’s charisma, the man gave a grateful nod. “Thanks.” He leaned into the task of pushing the car out of the way, as the traffic lined up behind him, and the sky opened with a fresh punishing downpour.

Not even the pouring rain can dampen the hot stuff going on in #bestseller #MMromance #holidayromance Night Song #teaserTuesday #gayromance #LGBTQ

Twenty-five year old Oliver Honeycutt has no idea how handsome he is. He’s creative, brilliant at his job, and underused in the designer fashion store where he works. Behind the scenes, Oliver takes special care with orders for customer, rock star, Zane Highwood. When Zane is to be the main attraction in the store’s Christmas party, fashion show, Oliver hopes Zane will notice him.

Multi-millionaire, twenty-five year old, Noah Somersby, made his first million before he was twenty-one and now owns a number of casual-chic menswear stores. He’s a designer, gorgeous, and desperate to find a man who will love him for himself and not see dollar signs as they kiss.

Noah doesn’t often take the train into the city, but one rainy day he does, as he settles into a seat opposite Oliver, the two men exchange interested glances.

In fact, Noah is super attracted to Oliver and Oliver thinks Noah is gorgeous.

As the store holiday season party approaches, can serendipity bring them together?

Read the Teaser

Oliver gazed at the handsome man who squatted by him, pressing the towel of ice to his bruise. He’s gorgeous, gentle…

Noah applied the ice. “There’s no swelling yet. That’s good. It shouldn’t take long to heal if you ice it a couple of times.” He stood, leaving the towel-wrapped ice on Oliver’s ankle, and pulled Oliver’s t-shirt away to look at his shoulder. “Let’s check the other bruise. Hell, Oliver, this one stretches down your muscle.”

Oliver looked. “Yeah, I saved myself from hitting the side of the building with my head using that arm.”

Noah stared at him obviously worried and a little frown creased his forehead. “I’ll get more ice.” Then he bent and kissed Oliver’s shoulder.

Oliver closed his eyes as Noah’s lips touched his skin. “It’s okay. I’ll get it. You’re going to think I’m a big baby.”

“Nope, stay here and ice the ankle.”

Oliver let him go.

With Noah back and another towel full of ice on his bruised arm, Oliver smiled at him. “I can’t remember when I last felt so cared for. I put coffee on, but there’s bourbon in the cupboard, too, if you want some—you will stay for a while?”

Noah’s eyes filled with emotion. “I’ll stay all night if you need me.”

Warmth rose through Oliver. A strong urge to kiss Noah gripped him. He struggled up, trying to hold the ice on his arm, and let the towel wrapped around his ankle fall a little. “I do … need you … in, in my life.” He brought his face close to Noah’s and placed a gentle kiss on his mouth.

Noah slid his arms around Oliver’s waist. He returned the kiss, lingering to prolong the touch, breathing against Oliver’s lips and kissing him again. When he drew away, he closed his eyes, then took a satisfied breath and smiled before he gazed at Oliver with attraction beaming from his blue eyes.

“The moment I saw you on the train, I hoped we’d meet and that you’d be as attracted to me as I am to you. It’s been a long time since a kiss could do what yours does to me.”

As if to emphasize the emotion, Noah brushed his lips on Oliver’s with a sigh.

Oliver’s breath caught as pleasure rushed over his body. He could take any amount of Noah’s tenderness. Happiness streamed through Oliver. “I can’t even remember my last kiss, aside from yours, I mean.”

Noah raised his eyebrows for a second. “Really? Mine was in the summer. It was just a kiss. I haven’t been in a relationship for a year—just never met the right guy.”

Oliver let the tingle of sensation and comfort from Noah’s touch travel through his body for a moment. “I gave up looking even though I wanted to meet someone.”

“I’m lucky, then, to have met you before another guy came to his senses and snapped you up. You are gorgeous.”
