In this week's #midweektease
E.D.Parr gives us a teaser from MM romance WIP
String of Pearls

Tobias Mars gazed at Dreft lying on top of the bed in room ten of the infirmary. Hari’s treatment had worked wonders and not only on Dreft’s wounds. Hari had cleaned Dreft up. His hair, now a dirt free glossy almond brown was brushed back to show off the handsome planes of his face. Hari had replaced Dreft’s strange boy-like clothes with the infirmary’s grey cotton pants and t-shirt. The man was, as his colleague, Dante, put it, deliciously pretty. For a fleeting moment, Tobias wondered what it would be like to kiss the perfect lips and hold the muscular body to his own. He shook the thought away.

Dreft opened his eyes and a shy smile spread on his mouth. As Tobias neared him, he shuffled up the bed to sit. “Thank you so much for helping me, sir.”
Tobias pulled a chair to beside the bed and sat. “My name’s Tobias, Tobias Mars—no need to call me sir. How are you feeling?”

The handsome man’s eyes held gratitude. “I’m so much better. Thank you. I noticed the insignia on your jacket, sir.”

Tobias grinned as his fingers went to trace the gold and blue embroidered crest. “I’m one of the queen’s pilot explorers. I guess you could call us the elite unit. All the same, call me Tobias. I’d like that.”

“I’ve heard that you have to be aristocracy to be chosen for the unit. Is that true?”

A little frown creased between Tobias’s eyes. “Have you? Where’d you hear that?” A spike of worry prevented him from answering with the truth. His intense security training from the warlock Indigo Vaughn threw a question into his mind. Could Dreft be a rival court’s spy or even assassin?

“I heard a lot of things during my years as a slave. Sorry. I mean no harm.” Dreft’s voice held anxiety. His blue eyes clouded.

A wave of kindness softened Tobias’s look and tone. “How long were you a slave?” He remembered Hari’s description of the scars on Dreft’s back.

Sadness passed in Dreft’s eyes. “Four years—I’ve been a slave since I was stolen from my home when I was eighteen. I, I’d become desperate, hence the leap from the ship when we cruised low to take the water from the lake on the planet where you rescued me.” His voice cracked a little.

Tobias was sure fear replaced the sadness in the young man’s eyes. He lightened the mood. “Hey, are you hungry? I bet Hari hasn’t given you breakfast and I’ve not eaten yet. Do you feel up to a little walk? My home isn’t far. I have loads of food—fruit, pancakes, savory pastries, and coffee. What do you say?”
Dreft gave him the most endearing look. “I’m very hungry.”

Tobias stood and pushed the chair away from the bed. He held out his arm for Dreft to take and helped him stand. “Hang on. You have no shoes.” Tobias left Dreft perched on the side of the bed. He went to the closet inset in the end of the wall and brought back a pair of felt slip-ons for Dreft.

Dreft pushed his feet into them. “Thank you. I think the medicA threw away what I was wearing.”

“Hari is the best medicA available. I trust him implicitly, but he’s a hygiene fanatic. He probably burned what you were dressed in.” Tobias laughed.

Powerful warlock, Indigo Vaughn, sells his spells to make peoples' dreams come true. #midweektease #MMromance WIP from @parr_books

Powerful warlock, Indigo Vaughn, sells his spells to make peoples' dreams come true. He believes his own dream will never be fulfilled, but one day, looking for a love potion, along comes hunky Darian O'Harr.
Safe to say sparks will fly.

The Dreamboat
#midweektease MM romantic erotica fantasy/scifi from E.D.Parr

His thoughts halted as a man stepped into his path halfway across the wooden bridge to the rear of the castle outer gardens. Shock sped through Darian. Time stood still filled only with sounds—the rush of the water beneath the bridge and the slap of a loose canvas door on a small marquee nearby. Darian expected robbery or a beating, or worse. He froze waiting for the man to reveal his intentions.

The man pulled his hood down.

“Indigo Vaughn.” Darian breathed the name.

“I am. What are you doing here, lurking at the rear of the castle?”

Darian’s stomach lurched with attraction and fear. He gazed at Indigo. He delighted in the lush dark hair, just long enough to give the warlock a dashing air, the piercing ice-blue eyes glinting sapphire in the last shimmer of light from the fireworks, the hot muscled body beneath the warrior’s leather jerkin, and Darian’s cock shot into an erection. He took a chance. “I knew you’d be patrolling here and I’m desperate to see you, talk with you, as, as just men, who, who like each other.” His brave words faltered and his voice dropped to a whisper.

A long moment of silence followed.

He thought Indigo was about to strike him, but the handsome warlock raised his hand, took hold of Darian’s hood, and pushed it from his face.

“Darian O’Harr.” Surprise rang in Indigo’s voice.

“I mean what I say. I can’t stop thinking about you.”

Indigo ran his fingertips down Darian’s cheek and rubbed the pad of his thumb across his lips.

Darian’s breath caught. The touch closed his eyes as lust rampaged over him.
Indigo moved his hand to Darian’s head running his fingers among Darian’s hair. Slowly he brought his head to Darian’s.

A strange wave of shyness flew over Liam #MMromance #PNR from WIP Blonde for #midweektease

Midweek tease is from E.D.Parr's WIP romantic erotica, MM shifter romance
Blonde

What would you think if the guy you were dating raced off every night before midnight and would never say why? Would you succumb to the urge to follow him one night?

Liam Hale can’t believe his luck when he meets the man of his dreams, Karl Oberon.
Hunky Karl is the sexiest man Liam has ever met, but his mysterious disappearances start to tease. Gorgeous Liam is the only man Karl has ever wanted.

Together they spark and sizzle with passion, but Karl doesn’t know how to tell Liam why he races away. Maybe keeping Liam’s mind off the question with mind-blowing erotic encounters will work?

Liam Hale lounged against the bar cradling his cold glass. He swished the dark golden liquid around the remaining ice cubes and raked the room with hungry eyes.

Milo, the bartender, drew a beer across from Liam.
“On the hunt again, Liam? Not many to choose from yet.”

Liam turned his tall frame in a leisurely roll to face Milo. “It’s early and Monday. I should be home prepping for a presentation tomorrow … but…”

Milo snorted a laugh. “But you’re here, darling, looking for Mr. Right. Nice shirt.” He flounced off holding the frosty glass of draught beer as if it was treasure.

Liam watched him set the glass down on a paper napkin in front of the customer. He liked Milo. The guy camped it up, and stuck with that persona. Liam hid his homosexuality behind a hard muscled body, straight persona, dark CK business suits, and sharp cut hair. Liam had to look down at his shirt to remember what he was wearing. He’d taken his tie off and stuffed it into his jacket pocket as he entered the building. He’d worn his pink Ralph Lauren shirt. Sometimes he dressed in the morning in a fog of sleep deprivation. Often lonely, Liam would seek solace in late night movies or work.

Liam drank the last of his bourbon and placed the glass on the bar. He gestured at Milo who danced to the dulcet and much loved voice of George Michael that drifted through the speakers situated above the bar counter. The bar always played CD music if there was no guest band. Liam liked that. The bar held a cool and yet welcoming ambiance. It was the only bar he knew for sure where none of his business friends would show up and that made it his favorite haunt.

Milo spun toward him.

“I’ll settle up, Milo—better make tracks home.” Liam paid for his drink. He waved the change from his ten-dollar note away leaving it as a tip, and turned to leave.

A burst of interest spiked through him as his gaze alighted on a man entering the wide arched doorway. Liam wasn’t usually into blondes, but this man captured his attention. His heartbeat increased as the man approached the bar. Liam couldn’t recall ever having a nervous reaction to a guy he’d never met, nor spoken to before, and he equated the rapid beat of his heart with the way his body betrayed him every time he made a presentation at work.

Frozen in his intent to exit the bar, Liam stood alongside the square of dance floor and a half-naked guy twirled in front of him gyrating and thrusting his hips with a smile.
“Hi, Liam.”

Liam flicked his gaze from the washboard torso of the dancer to his face.
He frowned as he greeted the guy. “Hey, how’re you doin’?” Liam had no idea who this was, but since the man knew his name, he felt obliged to smile as he sidestepped and headed for the safety of the tables and chairs set up away from the dance floor.

Liam found an empty table, but didn’t take a seat. He grabbed the back of the chrome and faux leather chair and gazed at the blonde who now chatted with Milo as he took a distinctive green larger bottle from the bartender’s hand.

Liam drank in the sight of the tall man’s rear view. He wore denim jeans and a tear high on the back of his thigh revealed lightly tanned skin. His shirt fell only halfway down his hips, and Liam heaved a sigh as he detected a hard muscled ass beneath the blue fabric of the gorgeous guy’s pants.

Liam looked away for only a moment. When he raised his eyes again the man had turned and now gazed right at him. A strange wave of shyness flew over Liam. He couldn’t tear his eyes from the dark gaze aimed at him, and yet fear prickled down his spine. He traced the planes of the handsome man’s face with worry creasing between his eyes, and then in a rapid move he released his grip on the chair, and strode from the bar onto the sidewalk.

The mid-summer air had cooled with nightfall. Liam gulped it in as he opened an extra button on his shirt. He pulled at the collar as his heart raced. Fuck me. He’s hot as hell. But what’s wrong with me, shaking like a newbie? I’m not even into blonde guys. Liam took off, striding along the sidewalk until he saw a cab. He hailed it with an outstretched arm, while balancing on the curb.

Meet The Thief of Hearts in #SexySnippets today from #WIP #MMromance

#SexySnippets are seven sentences brought to you each Sunday from a WIP or published work
From WIP, Thief of Hearts
MM erotic romance

In an effort to gain control, Blake dared to lift his gaze to the man outside. He’d expected water to smear the glass, but the guy hadn’t made any effort to clean the window so Blake had a clear view of the striptease the window cleaner engaged in.
He lifted the t-shirt he wore at the hem and in a tantalizing move slid it up his torso.
Blake’s mouth watered at the sight of the smooth, muscular chest on display. The man’s jeans rode low and Blake followed the V of his slim hips into the frayed top with greedy eyes. Blake caught his breath at the bulge in the front of the blue pants as the man thrust his hips a little taking the t-shirt over his head, before he dropped it beside him onto the cradle floor.
Blake stared in open appreciation of the broad shoulders and muscled arms before him.

Finally after two years away Angel is forced to go home #MWTease #teaser #MMromance WIP

#MWtease from MM romance WIP
Given Time
Angel gazed across the leaf-strewn road. The wide gates were closed. Bunches of flowers and wreaths lay on the sidewalk. People had already begun to pay their respects and display their sadness. As Angel slumped in his car seat reliving memories he’d hoped never to, a few people wandered along and left flowers outside the gate. I had no idea Rory was so loved. The late afternoon sky grew dark gray. The occasional splatter of rain, carried on the wind, hit the windscreen.

Angel was about to exit his car and brave entering the house, when a man walked up to the gate carrying flowers. Tall and dressed in a black suit, boots, and an obviously expensive knee length black overcoat, he was both strikingly fashionable and suitably somber. He laid the flowers with the other tributes to Rory Starc.

Angel flicked his gaze up and down the figure. From the well-cut, thick dark hair to the tips of his toes, the man radiated elegance. He turned and even from across the street, Angel could see how handsome he was. Who is he? Intrigued, Angel watched the man walk away along to the end of the road where he turned the corner and Angel lost sight of him with a sigh. It wasn’t every day that Angel saw a man he’d like to meet romantically and it was a sad thing that it was on the day of his brother’s death.

Finally, when no one was in sight, Angel exited his car and strode across the street. He punched in the last PIN he knew for entry through the gates. A flicker of surprise made him raise his eyebrows as the gates swung open. He’d expected Rory to have changed the code. Angel walked in and closed the gates behind him. He’d use another entrance for the car. He didn’t want to crush the flowers and wreaths.

Angel walked around the house to the side entrance. His heart pounded inexplicably as he unlocked the door and went into the short corridor. Rory’s muddy boots were still strewn on the floor and Angel bent to straighten them, placing them upright alongside the tall, whitewashed vase that served as an umbrella stand. He passed the coat hooks where an old sheepskin jacket hung. It reminded him of walks with Rory along the riverbank.

A #teaserTuesday for #MMromance #SciFi lovers

People stood and gaped out of the windows. Dale peered out at the white expanse sparkling in the morning sun, unaware until then that the train had even traveled into snow-covered country. The hum of concerned questions filled the carriage as people looked around and talked in hushed voices. There’d been no collision, no terrible sound of an accident and Dale, in the fog of his misery, waited quietly for some indication of what was going on.

An announcement floated from the practically invisible speaker at the front of the carriage. A pretty sound chimed and a soothing voice stated the obvious before giving information.

“Translines Rail has made an unscheduled stop. We apologize for the inconvenience. There is no need for alarm. We will shortly be mobile again when a passenger has boarded. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your journey.”

Dale bent to pick up the magazine that had fallen to the floor of the carriage. He hadn’t even placed a fingertip on the glossy cover when a hand extending from the cuff of a black jacket sleeve took hold of the magazine, and lifted it.

Dale swiftly looked sideways to see who the hand belonged to, and came face to face with a gorgeous man. Something about the man made Dale’s heart lurch, which scared him, and because of the scare his heartbeat increased. He closed his eyes for a few seconds trying to calm this sudden flare of nerves. He gave up on retrieving his reading material and sat up in the plush, velveteen train-seat waiting for what would happen next.

“Your journal. Is the seat free?” The man’s gentle voice soothed Dale only a little as he held Dale’s magazine out, and gave an indicative nod toward the vacant seat beside Dale.

“Thank you, and yes the seat is free.” Captured by his outright beauty, Dale tried not to stare at the man. He dropped his gaze to the colorful shot on the cover, and accepted the magazine, holding it on his lap.

From #WIP #MMromance Falling Star Valentine #SexySnippets

#SexySnippets
7 sentences brought to you each Sunday
From WIP MMromance, Falling Star Valentine

Settled in a seat opposite Valentine, Dale’s thoughts jumbled—hell, he’s so hot. Dale picked up the menu from its place on the crisp white tablecloth, next to napkin wrapped cutlery, and overturned drinking glasses that waited for use.
He stared at the list of refreshments. His stomach churned. Like Valentine, he hadn’t eaten breakfast either, but it wasn’t hunger that made his stomach clench. He sighed inwardly knowing his level of disquiet owed everything to how startling attractive Valentine Steel was. Six months of hankering after Jack flew away as Dale raised his head and caught Valentine gazing at him with pure desire shining in his sky-blue eyes.
